These are the product of an intro to sewing class that I took at this local craft studio/coop Spark Crafts. It was a 6 week class that met every Wednesday night for three hours. We completed 4 projects, including these pants, a skirt, and two bags. The class was great--I learned a lot, although most of the projects shall remain more useful for the practice they provided rather than the actual outcome. The pants came out way too huge, although that did mean I got to try my hands at tailoring. They are also a bit more, umm, generously-waisted than I usually prefer.
